Tom Collins drink – Easy to make High Ball Sour

The Tom Collins is one of the best everyday cocktails and is a great way to enjoy a tall drink that is easy to make.

The recipe has long been popular and has been modified over time but is basically a mix of simple syrup and lemon juice, combined with gin and club soda.  Fresh mint and lemon slices are often used as garnishes.  The drink is usually prepared right in a high ball glass rather than a cocktail shaker.

Tom Collins Drink - Refreshing Summer High Ball Cocktail
 
Serves: 1
Ingredients
  • 1½ oz gin
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • ½ oz sugar syrup
  • Club soda
  • Mint to garnish
  • Lemon slice for garnish
Instructions
  1. Pour the gin, lemon juice, and sugar syrup in a collins glass with ice cubes.
  2. Stir thoroughly.
  3. Top with club soda.
  4. Garnish with the slices of lemon and sprig of mint
