Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri Recipe Made with Island Oasis Mix

This  frozen strawberry daiquiri recipe is super tasty and could not be easier to make. If you have a blender and the supplies, the cocktail is ready in just minutes.

To make this drink easy to prepare, the daiquiri recipe features a mix – “Island Oasis Strawberry” – and this gets combined with crushed ice and rum for one of the simplest cocktails that your party guests will love.

Frozen cocktails are perfect for the summer weather. They are the ultimate way to spend summer days by the pool or at the beach with your toes buried in the sand.

They are sometimes called slushies and are generally made of flavored ice and some kind of drink, usually a soda. You can make them as a mocktail, with no alcohol, or add some spirits, as we do with rum, to make a frozen drink that beats the summer heat.

I love frozen cocktail recipes. There is nothing like a yummy concoction poured over crushed ice to make you feel as though you are in the tropics.

How to make strawberry daiquiri cocktails

A strawberry daiquiri is a mixture of rum, sugar and frozen strawberries. Today, we are shortcutting the process with the Island Oasis drink mix.

The pretty red color of this strawberry daiquiri drink is so much fun for summer parties.  A good friend of mine came over for a barbecue the other day and made a batch of these to share. I’ve been hooked ever since!

To make the drink, combine Island Oasis Strawberry frozen drink mix, some crushed ice, and rum in a blender. Give it a good pulse and the frozen drink is done.

Garnish the rim of the glass a twist of lime peel, or a fresh strawberry and get ready to party on!

If you want to get even fancier, add some crushed Himalayan pink sea salt to the glass rim.

What rum is best for a frozen strawberry daiquiri recipe?

Frozen warm-weather rum and strawberry drinks are best made with a rum that lets the taste of the drink shine through. Use a good quality run for the best flavor.

Light rums, dark rums or aged rums can all be used, depending on  your preference.

Some good choices are:

  • Bacardi Superior White Rum – this rum has vanilla notes to add flavor without overwhelming the strawberry flavor of the drink.
  • Ten To One Caribbean White Rum  – this rum from Trinidad offers a depth of flavor that makes it a great addition to any classic daiquiri recipe.
  • St. Theresa 1976 Rum – this rum adds a richness to the bright flavors of the daiquiri.
