Grating Soft Cheese is easy if you follow this tip
Have you ever tried to grate Mozzarella or other soft cheeses and found it difficult to do? I have and the cheese seems to sort of “wobble” and this makes it hard to grate it. Well this does not have to be a problem at all. Grating soft cheese does not have to be difficult.
Using oil is a trick. I use my Misto mister, but you can use any cooking spray. (affiliate lilnk) Just spray the cheese grater with the cooking spray before you start to grate it. The oil the in spray will make the cheese slide easily across the grate holes with much less effort.
This trick is the key to grating soft cheeses like Mozzarella and Burrata.
Simply spray the cheese grater with cooking spray before grating! The “grease” makes the cheese glide easily across the grates with less effort. This is key for mozzarella and other softer cheeses.
