How to make oven-baked chicken wings with chutney

These baked sticky chicken wings are very easy to prepare. Most of the prep time is spent in the fridge marinating!

Making the chutney marinade

Place the chicken wings in a single layer in the oven-proof casserole dish.

Combine the lemon juice, apricot jam, soy sauce, garlic, onion, and chutney in a bowl. Mix well to combine. An immersion blender will make the marinade really smooth in a minute or two.

Pour the chutney glaze mixture over the chicken wings.

Marinating the chutney-glazed wings

Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds. Place the chicken wings in the fridge to marinate for an hour to let the flavors combine.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

Bake the sticky wings in the oven for 1 hour until they are cooked through, and the chutney glaze has lightly browned.

Note: I like to cook these sticky chicken wings in the oven but you can also grill the wings on a medium heat grill till done, if you wish.

Sprinkle the cooked wings with extra sesame seeds to add some texture to them. Serve with your favorite apricot chutney sauce.
