Assemble your ingredients: Fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, olive oil, basil, kosher salt and black pepper.
Slice the tomatoes and the cheese. Alternate the tomato and cheese slices on a platter. Season with the Kosher salt and freshly ground cracked black pepper.
Drizzle the cheese and tomatoes with extra virgin olive oil. Sprinkle with the chopped basil and add a bit more Kosher salt and freshly ground cracked black pepper.

Tomato and Mozzarella Salad with Basil

Basil, tomatoes and mozzarella make a wonderful Caprese recipe when combined with olive oil and salt and pepper
Ingredients
- 3 medium tomatoes, sliced about 1/4" thick
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
Instructions
- Alternate the tomato and cheese slices on a platter. Drizzle with olive oil and

- Season with Kosher salt and cracked black pepper.
- Serve immediately.
