Garden Seating Ideas for Your Garden – Get Some Inspiration

These garden seating ideas show how easy it is to have a relaxing place to enjoy your garden, up close and personal.

I have several places in my garden where I love to sit and admire the garden beds, and also to relax and de-stress from my busy day.

To me, what makes a great seating location is not what it looks like when you see it, but how it makes you feel when you are sitting there.

All of my spots give me a great sense of relaxation.

Three Special seating areasOne of my favorite spots is under the magnolia tree in my back yard, overlooking my test garden.

The tree gives me shade on hot summer days and the bench is actually a swing, which is so relaxing. Add in that wooden coffee table to put my feet on.

It is the perfect spot for my midday lunch.

Under tree garden seating ideas: Back yard swing and coffee tableI also have two other areas that give me a lot of peace and relaxation. The first is this seating area on my patio overlooking my veggie garden.

It gets early morning sunlight, so it is a great place to have a morning cup of coffee.

My daughter Jess and I planted it last year and now that she have left to live in California, I think of her every time I sit in that lounge chair and have my lunch.

The only problem is that it is under a huge pine tree that the squirrels have decided they are going to demolish, so there is debris on my chair and table each time I go outside.

This seating area also overlooks the very first garden bed that I put into my front yard last year.

It is great to lounge here and watch the butterflies that seem to love the huge butterfly bush near my bird bath.
