Succulent planters made from music instruments

My husband came home one day with a box of old musical instruments for me to “make into something for my garden.”  (He is fond of doing this and I never quite knowhat he will show up with.)

I turned them into some fun musical planters for some annuals

Solar water fountain from Hay NeedleThis is one of my favorites by far.  HayNeedle has an enchanting ceramic waterfall and bird bath. It has a lovely cascading design and is solar powered to save on energy!

Coffee pot terrarium

I love using common household items to turn them into creative gardening projects.  This fun coffee pot terrarium used to give me a morning cup of coffee.

Now it houses some small succulents and air plants.  Charming!

Tea pot bird feeder from Not on the High StreetI have seen vintage tea pots used as bird feeders before. This adorable design from Not on the High Street has such a nostalgic design.

Herb markers from Harlly HousewivesDon’t throw those broken plant pots away!  This idea from Hardly Housewives shows them using the pieces to turn them into herb garden markers.

I have done something similar in one of my projects. I turned some old wooden spoon into garden markers.

Pergola swingI am a fan of garden seating areas. I have them in almost all of my garden beds.

This lovely garden swing hangs from a pergola that is surrounded by a landscaped garden setting. I  cannot find the original source but found this on Pinterest and wanted to share it for inspiration.

BromeliadMother Nature is creative all on her own! Bromeliads are so unusual – at first they look quite ordinary and then a pod emerges from their centers.

Once this opens you are in for a treat.   They display the most spectacular and unusual “flowers”.
