DIY Jewelry Cleaner with Denture Tablets

Looking for an easy DIY Jewelry Cleaner?  Try using denture cleaning Tables. Their effervescent nature cleans jewelry easily and quickly.

To clean your jewelry, use warm water, and a  denture tablet. Drop rings, etc, into the solution.  After the bubbles stop, take out rinse,  brush, and dry the item.  It will be just as sparkly as if you take to jewelry to be cleaned and will cost a lot less money.

Make your Own Jewelry Cleaner

I have not tried this method with vintage jewelry which uses rhinestones which have foiled backs.  One would need to be very careful using it with any stones which have a foil backing, since water of any type can damage the stones.

For normal gemstones and other glass stones, this method would be suitable.

Denture tablets can be used for many things besides dentures... among my many items I use to clean the house, denture tablets are right in there with everything else. some of the items I use to clean my chemical free home: Vinegar hydrogen peroxide rubbing alcohol baking soda lemon oil

I stopped using commercial cleaners about 15 years ago when I was diagnosed with cancer(12 yrs cancer free!) & have not looked back. I am always on the lookout for new & improved ways to clean without chemicals. I have gone so far as to make my own vinegar...mine is a wee bit stronger than what you buy in the store(store bought is about 5% acid, mine is about 10% -15% acid), but it cleans & sanitizes a whole lot better & faster.

I also use vinegar and water as a disinfectant spray. It is good at controlling ants too! Carol
