Add One of these Outdoor Games to your next Party.
The weather is warming up here in NC and it makes me think of things to do outside. Gardening is my first choice, of course, but I also love having outdoor gatherings and activities for them.
I grew up in a family of six children and we were always playing games. When the summer came, my mother would make sure that we spent a lot of time outdoors, so we would have to come up with interesting things to do and that usually meant games.
Often, we would make up our own games, and use whatever we had available. I thought it would be fun to put together a collection of DIY outdoor games so that you can create your own fun memories as well. Just click on any of the pictures for directions to the game.
The website for the pick up sticks (Courage to Create) appears to have closed down, but you can find directions for a similar project on Nellie Bellie.

All the games look very exciting. My little one loves to stay out for games and I am unable to come up with ideas. Your article has been very helpful, going to try these games soon. I want to minimize her ipad time as much as possible and give her better ideas and games to spend time in ur garden

Thank you Carol :) My link is actually http://eucharisteo.com/2012/07/summer-twister/ I'm already trying to contact ShowandTellonline to add my link. I don't mind it being shared, just want it direct back to my blog. Blessings!

Hi Jennica,
Oh my goodness. I had no idea that I was linking to someone who used your link. It is obvious from your link that you created the game. I have changed them so that both the picture and text links to you.
Thank you so much for alerting me. It is really important to me that I always link to the original sites in any round ups that I do.
Kind regards, Carol

I would appreciate a link back to my website for the photo of my children playing the yard twister we created. Thank you :)

Hi Jennica. I have a link in each image to the original source. I didn't realize that this did not make the description area clickable too. I have added those links in so both the picture and the description links to your site. Thanks for pointing out my oversight! Carol

How did you color your lawn? Did you use a specific spray, to not damage the grass? Halloween is coming!

Hi Sue, These ideas were shared from other sites. The link to the sites is built into the image. If you click on the image, it will take you to the site who originally did the project and they can answer your questions about it.
