Spooky Halloween Luminaries
The project is simple to do. Just assemble these items:
- old mason jars
- rough jute
- black construction paper
- pillar candles
- glue stick
- scissors
Find a shape that you like the look of. Kids coloring books are good places.
Cut out the shape, and trace it on black construction paper. Be sure the inside of the mason jar is dry and clean.
Put a very light layer from a glue stick on the black shape. Attach it to the inside of the jar. (If you use plastic black paper, it could also go on outside.)
Wrap a piece of jute rope around the rim of the mason jar and place the pillar candle inside and you are done.
Make several of them and line the path to your front door for a spooky entrance to your home. The neighborhood kids will love the mood they set.
