Enjoy the Atmosphere with these Creative Outdoor Lighting Ideas
Sitting outside in the evening with friends is one of my favorite things to do in the summer. Lighting the setting is a must, since we don’t have much lighting on our deck.
In the past, I have used hurricane lamps with candles set into them. They are effective and give out a nice subdued light, but takes some time to set up.
I’ve been looking for ways to light an outdoor area without breaking the bank at home improvement stores and asked my gardening friends and also my Facebook fans to show me what they use.
Here are some of their ideas:
Bente Havelund shared this image of Solar lamps on her patio table. What soft lighting they provide!
Terry Tribble Daffe says “I bought a broken lantern at a garage sale and fixed it fit my patio which is right by my garden! Used it tonight for the first time!” What a great garage sale find, Terry. Thanks for sharing.
Bente Havelund, from Denmark, also shared this image of a garden light that really sets a mood. I love this one so much!
Heather of New House, New Home, New Life has a wonderful chandelier with mason jars that she did as a DIY project. What a lovely accent this is for her garden. Please visit her page for the tutorial on this great project.
Another lighting idea from fan Bente Havelund who lives in Denmark. Unique solar lights.
